Welcome to Informal Geometry!Hello mathematicians!
One of the oldest branches of mathematics, geometry is the study of shape, measurement, and the properties of space. In this course, we will not only study the properties of various shapes, but also see how geometry is connected to many other fields, from engineering and navigation to architecture and the visual arts. Throughout the year, we will often spiral back to review key algebra skills that will inform our understanding of geometry as well as prepare you for future algebra courses. Here you will find all the information for our class, including the calendar, important documents, assignments, daily notes, and other useful material which I will add as time permits. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions or if there's anything you'd like to see on this site! |
